| Abstrakt: | Cílem disertační práce je předložit výsledky výzkumu armádní komunikace, které mohou sloužit jako sonda do diskursivních procesů, jež se armáda pokouší využívat k získání legitimity vyplývající z vojensko-civilních vztahů a ze sympatií široké veřejnosti. Výsledky výzkumu, založeném na diskursivní analýze, jež se vztahuje k narativu o zahraničních misích v Afghánistánu a Iráku, slouží jako základ pro vyhodnocení postoje komunikátora k budování pozitivního vztahu s veřejností. Práce představuje základní výzkum s vymezením ontologického a epistemologického přístupu na sociálně konstruktivistickém a poststrukturalistickém základě, ze kterého vyplývá i exaktní metoda pro zkoumání diskursu. Mimo základní představení armádní komunikace v posledních několika letech, práce předkládá dekonstrukci oficiálních argumentů a jejich propojení, se strukturami, ve kterých se AČR nachází. Výsledky výzkumu ukazují, jak armáda komunikací buduje vlastní legitimitu v současných společenských strukturách. Práce dále nastiňuje další možnosti a směry kam by výzkum v oblasti komunikace veřejných institucí, ve spojitosti s politickými procesy, mohu ubírat. |
| Abstrakt v dalším jazyce: | The submitted dissertation thesis handles the attitude of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic towards communication with the public and focuses on the discursive processes which the army tries to use in order to gain legitimacy resulting from sympathies of the general public. Within the Czech political system, the Armed Forces are formally inferior to political power and civil control. The possibility of influencing public opinion and asserting one´s truths, hence one´s own interests in terms of the discursive field has though remained. In the period of postmodern communication and political system which relies on the voice of the majority, the importance of discursive power rises. Communication becomes a political tool which can ensure legitimacy of the army during peace times. Foremost, this thesis introduces an extensive and elaborated theoretical and methodological apparatus for embracing the communication of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic from the stance of political science. Furthermore, it thoroughly describes political motives of army communication arising from the political system and military-civil relations. It also focuses on particular communication strategies and tools resulting from social structures which include the communicator. Main core of the text is composed by a discursive analysis of particular statements which relate to foreign missions in Afghanistan and Iraq. The research strives to verify theses which prop upon legal, security and moral structures of our society and which imply the legitimacy of soldiers and military actions. The analysis of the discursive corpus of the statements on Afghanistan and Iraq missions verifies three theses which capture the processes and strategies used by the Ministry of defence and Armed Forces of the Czech Republic to establish their ?truths? in the discursive field. These truths then serve to strengthen the legitimacy of the communicator, required for specific actions and his bare existence in the political system of the Czech Republic. The described processes may be seen as a component of social interactions and prove how the communication of public institutions can influence our understanding of events in politics and international relations. |
