Abstract in different language: | This article describes a pressure thermal shock simulation methodology and procedure. The article also describes the pressure thermal shock phenomenon (PTS) within a reactor pressure vessel resulting from a small-break loss of coolant accident. The SB-LOCA transient is modelled using a transient thermo-hydraulic CFD simulation. The resulting transient temperature and pressure values are then transferred to a structural analysis, where the loading state of the reactor pressure vessel is evaluated. Additionally the effect of emergency core cooling (ECC) injected coolant temperature variance is studied. |
