| Abstract: | Článek pojednává o významné osobnosti soudního lékařství Jánu Jesenském, který provedl v roce 1600 v Praze veřejnou a tiskem dokumentovanou pitvu lidského těla. Význam veřejné pitvy v Praze je nutno vidět v historickém kontextu. Šlo o nespornou snahu pozdvihnout lesk pražského Karlova učení a vrátit universitu do svazku významných evropských učilišť. Vědecký význam uskutečněné pitvy byl minimální, ale význam společenský byl enormní. Díky Jesenskému byla pitva, potažmo ohledání mrtvoly, začleněno do trestního procesu. V článku se autoři snaží přiblížit život Jána Jesenského a jeho přínos pro rozvoj kriminalistiky |
| Abstract in different language: | The article deals with an important figure of forensic medicine, Jan JesenskST, who dissected a human cada-ver on a public and press-documented performance in Prague in 1600. The importance of a public dissection in Prague can be seen mainly in historical context. It was an indisputable effort to raise the importance of Charles University in Prague and its return to a union of an important European state-governed educational institutions. The scientific significance of the dissection was overshadowed by the social impact. Thanks to JesenskST, the cadaver dissection, and therefore the autopsy, was included in the criminal process. The authors of this article bring closer the life of Jan JesenskST and introduce his contribution to the criminalistics development |
