dc.description.abstract-translated | This paper's purpose is to compare different authors' approaches to setting, monitoring, and evaluating goals using the objectives and key results (OKR) method. The article is based on a literature review of available sources related to OKR. First, the individual components of OKR are identified and explained based on the literature review. Next, the approaches of individual authors to these components of OKR are summarized. The authors' approaches are compared in the table. The observed differences between the approaches are not significant but still exist. The reason for these differences (if known), possible advantages, and disadvantages are discussed in the discussion section. The work's main outcome is the opportunity to get familiar with the OKR method as a modern, agile, and effective approach to setting and achieving company goals compared to the traditional management by objectives (MBO) approach, introduced already almost 70 years ago by Peter Drucker and still used in many companies. This paper also allows readers to get a quick idea of the differences between individual authors in the approach to OKR. Therefore, this paper serves as a starting point for an initial introduction to the OKR method for those becoming interested in this method, either from a practical application or research perspective. | en |
