Abstract: | Diplomová práce shrnuje kulturní nabídku pro pracující Akciové společnosti, dříve Škodových závodů v době Protektorátu Čechy a Morava, především pak tzv. |
Abstract in different language: | This thesis aims to provide a summary of the cultural activities that were available to the employees of Škoda Works (Škodovy závody) during the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. Specifically, it focuses on the "Pestré večery" events, which were entertaining evenings offering diverse entertainment options for the Škoda employees. Admission to these events was free, featuring performances from some of the most popular artists of that era. No one has yet researched Pestré večer, which could contribute to the occupiers' efforts, i.e. to make Škoda's employees work as well as possible. This is also indirectly evidenced by the fact that the initial lack of interest has radically changed and the company's management even had to determine who gets the tickets. Therefore, this cultural bribe illustrates the Nazi "carrot and stick method" in the Protectorate. |
